Artisan Sterling and Amethyst Pendant: Components

Remember a few weeks back when I told you I’d be attending a silversmithing class? Since the class ended, I’ve continued trying new things and honing my learned skills.

This artisan pendant was a lot of fun to put together. It is made of a nice sized amethyst cab, along with fine and sterling silver components. The pendant back is textured, as is the bezel setting. I added a nice size sterling hoop to string a chain through as well. The sterling silver balls were fun to make too… my first efforts at melting metal intentionally:-)

I’ll post a couple more pictures of the finished project tomorrow, and instructions about how to win this pendant in a giveaway on my blog. Instructions about what you will need to do to enter will be in tomorrow’s post.

Stay tuned!
