It was a day of inspections at the new house yesterday. The pest guy, our chosen general inspector, and the stucco guy. No big issues, just a couple of smaller items we’d like the seller to take care of. But, the very amiable pest dude did confirm that there were brown recluse spiders in the basement. Dead ones. But. Still. ewwwwwww.
Normally, bugs don’t bother me. I”m much more grossed out by toddler bodily fluids. But brown recluse? Ugh.

I was bitten by one when I lived in Texas. Still have the not so gorgeous scar on my leg to prove it.
Now where did I put that pest controller’s number……………….

OH those are something not to mess with. I think even worse then the scorpions we have around here. I had a friend who was bitten on forehead….no pretty.
I’m glad they’re already dead. My daughter freaks out whenever she sees one.
Ahhhhhhh! I couldn’t wait for the picture of that spider to go away when I clicked on leave comments!!! Ahhhh!
i’m going to have nightmares about spiders tonight!
I hate and fear these guys the most,I have been bitten several times and I thank GOD I didn’t end up in the hospital.I lived in a small 4 plex in Wichita Kansas and there would be hundreds of these spiders around the small apartment building.
I found that if I kept my apartment nice and cool 65-69 degres the Brown Recluse spider didn’t s.come in my living space in fact I never saw them at all they prefer dark warm areas and thats o.k. buy me I like my place cooler in the summer, it worked for me. If you see one of these guys in your space….KILL IT!! I try not to hurt any creatures now a days but I have no mercey for the Brown Recluse spider.
