I had a goal of reaching 1000 fans on my ShinyAdornments Facebook page. I was thrilled to actually reach 1020! Wow!
As promised, once I reached that goal, I announced a big earring giveaway for all my facebook fans. The winner would get to choose any pair of earrings he/she would like from my shop. (You can see some of the ones the winner picked from in the collection from my shop below). Aaaaaaaaannnnnnnd, we have a winner of my giant earring giveaway! I’ve added a new ear wire style to the shop, inspired by the munchkin’s soccer practice. The goals look quite like triangles, and I thought they made a good shape for dangly ear wires. As it turns out, they are comfortable too. So, there you go.
I’ve accompanied the sterling silver ear wires with artisan lampwork beads, gemstones and sterling silver accents.

Another new pair new to the shop : Artisan hot pink borosilicate glass lampwork beads & sterling silver dangle earrings – Managing Change
These one of a kind gorgeous and subtly colored hot pink boro glass beads, artisan made (but not by me) are paired with sterling silver findings and a hand formed silver hoop.
These pink beads also appear slightly purple and yellow and like all boro beads, show their colors differently in different light. I’ve accompanied these fab beads with sterling silver findings and have added a single hand formed and hammered round hoop dangling below. They measure about 1 3/4 inches long (4.4 cm)

New to the Shop! Glorious orange, blue, red, well, I guess multi color might be a better definition of these artisan made boro glass lampwork beads. I’ve paired them with sterling silver accents and let them dangle from my hand formed architectural sterling silver earwires – Mardi Gras OOAK
These one of a kind earrings are made from my last two of these wonderfully bright multicolor boro glass beads. They are orange, blue, purple, and red, and like all boro beads, appear different colors in different light; different shades inside than when you wear them outside. The beads are accompanied by sterling silver access and hang from my hand formed sterling silver rectangular shaped ear wires. The ear wires have been tumbled for hours to bring out the shine and ensure that they fit comfortable in your piercings. They are long too … nearly 2 1/4 inches (5.7 cm)
I’ve got several new pairs of earrings that need to be listed this week. This is the first of many. The colors in this pair make me happy, and I figured it was a good way to start out the week.

I’m a fall. Oranges, reds, greens. Fall colors appeal to me. Many of the colors that are highlighted in picasso jaspers fit my personal palette nicely, so I’ve acquired quite a few of these stones. Probably far, far more than I will use in a lifetime. LOL
Those of you that can commiserate with my hoarding know what I mean. There is just something quite wonderful about sitting at one’s bench and fondling the current stash of cabs, or other stones. Happy sigh.
This pair is made from fine and sterling silver and two rusty red and green agate cabochons. I’ve embellished each earring with wire wrapped sterling silver floral bead caps and round beads. All of the silver has been oxidized and burnished for a rich, dark rustic look. I’ve also deliberately textured each bezel to contribute to the rustic, earthy feel.

I’m a sucker for color.. loud punches of hot pink contrasted with black rank really high on my short list. I also love polymer clay beads made by other artisans. As I was organizing my work bench, I ran across this particular version purchased from an etsy artisan’s shop.
I’ve made earrings using these before, but not using so many silver accents. This pair, Good Intentions, really gives off the mod vibe, doesn’t it? Like wearing tiny modern art canvases on your ears.

Oooo… pink and LOTS of it. This special pair of earrings is going to a fellow Starving Artist as part of our earring swap. (See the link to the Starving Artist’s Forum in the left navigation below…)
Composed of lots of sterling silver wire, pink tourmaline rondelles, and some really glorious multi shade pink, purple and blue boro beads from FireLily. The pictures just don’t do them justice.
Sure hope my earring swap buddy likes them…..

Here are the sterling silver wire wrapped hoop earrings to coordinate with the bracelet pictured below.
These dangly hoops are slightly more than an inch in diameter and wrapped with many feet of sterling silver wire. A red coral rondelle, also snugly wrapped, dangles from each hoop. I oxydized the whole earring for depth, and then shined the surfaces.
Friendly indeed.
