Funny Google search terms used to find my etsy shop: 2010 list to date

I’ve posted several lists of search terms used to find my etsy shop.  They’ve all been slightly odd, sometimes naughty, but none the less entertaining. Here are this month’s winners:

1. backless sweaters
2. andy warhol foundation for the visual arts tote bags
3. buy blue easter eggs
4. chickens in party hats
5. childish thoughts
6. gnome stool
7. illinois flying squirrel (Seems like squirrels are a theme. I swear I had a similar squirrel search term in an earlier list)
8. very thiny metal bag
9. wax orange blossom
10. wedding rubber stamp

It’s weird how people actually find your shop, isn’t it?
:-)

Google Search Terms used to find my etsy shop: Updated

Remember a few weeks ago when I posted a list, according to Google Analytics, of search terms used to find my shop on etsy?  The current month’s list of suspects is equally baffling. Makes me seriously wonder how beneficial GA is as metric tool for etsy….. LOL

white sage smudging – not too sure what this is, exactly
“lime green” purple skull fabric     – Yep, one can find THAT in my shop
1920s slip
acdc dog hoodie –   who buys dog hoodies, let alone ones with an 80s rock band or alternative lifestyle choices :-) on them?
atheist necklace – what does this look like?
bailey doesnt bark – I’ve got a comment about cream, but, I think I am going to leave it alone….
beading a butter – again, I’ve got a pithy comment, but, alas, I’ve chosen NOT to go there
illinois flying squirrel – did you know that Illinois had its own brand of flying squirrel? And it could be found in my shop? Me neither.
parachutes rob kalin – um, hahahahahahahahahaha
plus size hippie clothing – so, what do you think someone is trying to tell me?
toddler bedding – yes I own it, but pretty sure I’m not selling it as jewelry
upcycle t shirt – what is this? OK, I know, I’m a hippie, I should know this, right?
wizard of oz pouch – I KNOW I live in Kansas, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t in my shop.
האיש הירוק – I don’t even know what language this is, so am wondering how anyone found it in my shop?

Google Analytics Key Words… I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.

My pal, and very talented jewelry designer, Brandi from Catie’s Blue, posted about the words people use to find her shop, according to Google Analytics. You should read her blog post aptly titled Google Analytics – Hilarious .

Her post prompted me to share some of the more hysterical search terms used to find my etsy shop. I figured you might get a giggle out of them as well. Plus, I have an ulterior motive. I’d like you to comment and share some of yours. Google Analytics is my friend. :-)

LOL

So without further ado, here is my list of some of the more, ahem, interesting search terms used to find my etsy shop. BTW.. have you SEEN my etsy shop? I’m pretty sure none of these things exist in it, nor have they EVER existed in it.

1. lavender pigs
2. 1970s modern plastic desk
3. american tourister vintage tiara train case
4. art deco bowls
5. babys first mukluks
6. betty crocker dinner for two cook book 1958
7. black tap pant women’s plus (comment from author: Seriously? Seriously)
8. fetus necklace (huh?)
9. foundling (I guess it could be worse.. it could be fondling. LOL)
10. how to crochet balls
11. sperm earrings (um, wha?)
12. stuffed animal noses

Ok, your turn. What are your favorites?
