In Knots: Artisan Sterling Bangle

I posted a couple weeks ago about my need and subsequent capture (LOL) of a less than traditional bracelet mandrel. I was requested to make a knot bracelet similar to my In Knots hoop earrings.

I tried several different gauges of wire before settling on 12 ga. I also tried forming an entire circle bangle, but decided that a cuff would be more wearable.

I like the way they turned out, and they are very comfortable to wear. And, because the bangles are made from some fairly large gauge wire that has been hammered and tumbled, they won’t end up bent or mis-shapen over time.

Available in my Etsy and Artfire Studios.

I submitted a couple artisan jewelry items to CraftGawker this weekend, and both were approved and listed on the site. According to the site’s about us page “craftgawker is a gallery where anyone can showcase their art, crafting and photography skills. It’s a place for you to discover new artists and homemade goods to inspire your own creations.”

I’m always nervous when I submit things to a juried site. It’s like high school, ” will they like me”, ” am I cool enough” LOL

There are some really gorgeous submissions from all kinds of artists. Caution though.. lots of eye candy and its easy to waste an hour or so just browsing. :-)
