Where to sell online: Venue traffic list updated

Asking yourself where to list your handmade items? What sites have the most traffic? Which sites have increased their traffic? Which sites have decreased over the last several months?

I’ve updated my list. :-)

You’ll note that I’ve added several new sites this iteration, including Meylah.com, cargoh.com, boocoo.com and efreeme. Any I’ve missed?

Where to sell handmade online: Traffic rankings updated

I’ve updated my list of places to sell your handmade goods online using traffic numbers
from Compete.com to rank the available options. (Just in time for holiday shopping)

:-)

The top ten don’t move around much, and I’ve listed them below.  To view the entire list,
please visit this blog post for the most updated numbers
:  “Where to sell handmade
online, ranked by site traffic”

An M means millions and a k is thousands. (4M is 4,000,000 and 4k is 4,000.)

This list is sorted from most to least trafficked. The LOWER the Rank number the HIGHER
the number of visitors a site receives. LOWER numbers are BETTER.

Does more traffic mean more sales? Maybe, but don’t rely on a site’s traffic numbers as
your only criteria. Larger site traffic does not necessarily equate to more sales.

Do your homework: visit site forums, google for feedback, look at site traffic trends, read user
blogs, ask user opinions, and ask lots and lots of questions.

Note: Some of the sites listed allow vendors to sell both commercial AND handmade products. Also, sites that have moved more than 3 slots since the last review are highlighted in red text.
